Merry Christmas to you!

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

Luke 2:8-14

      • Thank you Mia … all the best to you in the new year. P.S. I thought of you … heard they are going to make Kit Kat bars with Key Lime filling, so I thought of my blogging pal/friend who loves her Key Lime pie. They hit the stores in April 2021 … I don’t want to send a link as it might go to SPAM, but Google “Key Lime Pie-flavored Kit Kat bars” – yes, you need these!

      • I’ll definitely have to try that. I’m not sure how that will taste. Kit Kat bars are one of my favorites, and as you know, I do love key lime pies; yet, I’m just not sure how those two will fair together. 😂 It might be delicious, and then, it could be like Oreos and M&M’s. They keep monkeying around with different flavors and mix-ups, but for the most part, the originals are the best! 🤣 (I’m my opinion.😉)

      • I agree as to the Oreos Mia. Last year, because it was the 50th year of the moon landing, I tried the “moon landing Oreos” … they were a lilac-colored cream and nothing different from the original Oreos. I like the original Oreos and never cared for the Double-Stuff as, like you say, they monkey around with flavors. Same with M&M’s and also Hershey’s Kisses. I thought I heard that the filling will be key-lime and will taste like the lemon Kit Kat bars. I never tried those – I have only had the plain Kit Kats and not in a while.

      • Yeah, we tried those “moon” Oreos as well. Our oldest liked them, but I wasn’t too impressed. Lol. I guess, I’m it’s led and traditional, or maybe too picky…or maybe just weird. 😂 I like the original Oreos, original Kit Kats, and original Reese’s. Every once in a while, I’ll get a white choc Reese’s, but I don’t get them often. The Peanut M&Ms are my go-to, but I do like the white choc M&Ms; however, I’m not a big fan of the white choc Peanut M&Ms. How funny is that? Now, on the Hershey Kisses, I’m a little more diverse, as I like the caramel, candy cane and dark chocolate, along with the original, but I’m not much more adventurous than that. Lol. If they’re a flavor I like, I do like to try the new ones, though. So, I’m looking forward to trying the key lime. Maybe it’ll be a hit! 😉

      • I’ve only tried the regular and peanut M&Ms and the ones that were crispy inside … I have not lived yet it seems that I miss all the different ones! I thought the “moon” Oreos were a little too sweet, but I will tell you I didn’t let them go to waste. 🙂

      • I’m not sure she was referring to those Oreos, but sometimes, you just gotta do what you gotta do, right? 😂😂 Yesterday, our oldest posted a pic of some new Oreos that are coming out: “Brookies.” Evidently, it’s a layer of brownie, on top of original creme, on top of cookie dough creme, sandwiched between the original Oreo cookies… I think that would be crazy sweet! I’m sure my son will be getting them as soon as they come out, and I’ll try a nibble, just to say I tried it. 😂😂

      • I had no idea they had so many types of Oreos available – wow. “Brookies” – that is original sounding … it does sound sweet though, you are right about that. That’s why I’m no fan of Double Stuff Oreos as that extra frosting seems so sweet to me.

      • I think that might be a better way to make them – but really, who dreams these combinations up anyway? Don’t forget to put it on your calendar for April 1st … they just said the month of April. I knew you’d be excited and it might just give you a little boost!

      • Yes! I really need to get back to posting those. It seems this month has been such a packed season, and my writing moments have felt the lacking of time. Here’s to hoping that January will bring more days to write and less days of busyness! 😉💕

      • I know how you feel Mia – I have to cut my posts to just two a week – I am always behind in Reader and tonight was late leaving work as we’re trying to finish things up due to being closed Friday, so just landing here now at 9:00 p.m. I’m three days behind in Reader now … blogging does take a lot of time but you probably have not been going to as many places to eat, unless you are allowed indoor dining? We have no indoor dining in Michigan and carryout only. It’s been like that most of the year … after months of being closed for inside dining, they opened again, then closed them down once again. It’s not as warm here, so the outdoor seating they did all Summer/Fall isn’t working now. A colossal mess for everything due to COVID.

      • Goodness. I’m sorry Michigan has been so difficult during this time. Yes, we have been eating out some here in Georgia; since, this state has been mostly open since around May. However, we’ve been. Trying to save more money this year; so, we’ve eaten in a whole lot more, and many times, when we’ve eaten out, it’s been to our favorite places. However, I do have a good many pictures from our time in The Keys during the summer, and I need to get those posts together soon! That’s one goal for the new year, to do at least one Tuesday’s Treats a month to start until I get back to each week. 😉 So, here’s to hoping and at least planning to do it!! 😂

      • Yes, since it’s warm there, you can have outside dining too … some restaurants got those igloo/bubbles, but they have to be sanitized between customers and I know they take up lots of room in parking lots and they also now have to have some type of filtered air going on as well. I have a ton of photos taken in October – December and it will take me until late Spring/Summer to sort thru them and use them up! I kept going whenever I could to big parks, riverside parks, etc. while the weather was good. Now we are immersed in Winter with freezing rain/wintry precip coming tomorrow. I will spend a little time sorting through pics to use for upcoming posts. 🙂 We’ll both be organized in 2021!
