Tuesday’s Treats #152
Appalachian Grill
Location: Cartersville, Ga
Well, Merry Christmas! This restaurant review was placed back in October; so, it’s not going to look very “Christmas’y,” but I’d be willing to bet this restaurant will be set up for Christmas! 😉 🎄 This place has a really cool atmosphere, and I loved it when I walked in and said, “Two for a booth, please,” the hostess answered with a smile, “Booths are all we have.”
The ‘Pickles and Pups’ appetizer was huge and quite too much for only myself and my son, but it was definitely tasty. He ordered the kids cheeseburger, and I ordered the shrimp and grits. His burger was delicious, and my shrimp and grits was good, but honestly, I’ve had a little better in the grits department. They weren’t as creamy and rich as I thought oils have liked.
The chocolate cake and apple streusel pie was absolutely amazing. We left full and happy. Check out their website for location and menu options.
*Note to travelers: if you put this into your gps, and Siri tells you, “You have arrived,” but you don’t see the restaurant, don’t panic or turn around. The restaurant is located under the overpass, right near the railroad tracks. There are several restaurants, shops and even a cinema down there; so, you don’t want to miss it. 😉
Merry Christmas to you and yours! We hope you have a beautiful Christmas Day with those you love! 💗🎄
Tuesday’s Treats #151
Churrasco
Location: Lviv, Ukraine
The atmosphere is this restaurant is quaint and comfortable. The food is delicious, and the staff is knowledgeable of the English language for those who have need. This is not a traditional Ukrainian restaurant, but rather, a Georgian restaurant. Our translator and friend, who is originally from Moldova, was very excited and impressed by the food prepared here.
Because I have a few different pics here of food, and they’re a little different than “full-fledged-entree pics,” I am going describe them each. The first is the grilled veggies. Oh. My. Word. These are amazing!! Let’s just say, I hate eggplant, and there were two big slices that I devoured! Yum!!
The second pic is the chicken wings my son ordered. He loves them, and he said the difference between these and many American wings was that they weren’t greasy. The green, creamy substance in the bowl are mashed potatoes. I’m really not sure why they’re green, but they were rather tasty, albeit the green coloring took a bit to get passed. 😂
The third pic is the cheese filled dumplings some of our party ordered. They absolutely loved these. I liked them pretty good; although, I believe I enjoyed my veggies more!
The last pic is one piece of the cheesy stuffed bread that just seemed to melt in your mouth!! It was so good that I’ve still had cravings for this; since, we’ve come home!! Oh. My. Goodness! It was delicious!! I believe, I could have made a big pig out of myself and eaten the whole basket of this bread! Yet, I restrained myself and only ate two pieces! 😂
It doesn’t look like they have an actual website; so, I will leave the google search here for location and contact information.

Tuesday’s Treats #149
Krasna Sadyba – Kolyba
Location: Yaremche, Ukraine
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Oh. My. Goodness!! The atmosphere is so neat, as you are greeted by the wood grill as you enter and are directed to your table.
The traditional Ukrainian Borscht is a bit different than I’ve had elsewhere, but it is still good.
