My journey didn’t stop with mere time travel or writing; it led me to become one of the most sought-after empaths, a soulful psychic who reads the hidden depths of the human spirit. I’ve been blessed—or perhaps burdened—with an ability that allows me to feel the emotions of people from every corner of time.

Dedicated to movie nerdom, nostalgia, and escape. In the late 90s, I worked at Blockbuster Video where they let me take home two free movies a day. I caught up on the classics and reviewed theatrical releases for Denver 'burbs newspapers and magazines. Today, while raising two young, beautiful daughters with my amazing wife, I look forward to anything rated R and not Bluey. Comments and dialogue encouraged!

On the Way to Wholeness
I love the short posts you make. Memories often burst upon me.
Ft. Benning. 1973. I hadn’t been in Georgia since I was too young to remember. So I took a little drive east in my Mustang. It took all I could do to get down to 15 mph after passing multiple Speed Limit signs hidden behind bushes, each progressively lower in limits. And all the towns were like that, most with a hidden stop sign somewhere along the route through town.
But the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on the road comes from somewhere in Missouri or Arkansas. I forget exactly where. I’d been through the town many times while pulling a flatbed for Arrow Trucking. It was a two-lane road we used as a shortcut. The road dropped down and curved under a railroad bridge. Passing out the other side sat the welcome sign, a speed limit sign, and a police car with a Smokey Bear-hat wearing deputy inside. I laughed every time I passed by. The car hadn’t been washed in years. The mannequin might once have had a cigar in its mouth, which would have made my day, but it was long gone. But it was a lovely town. Quiet. Light. Churches and parks. Peaceful.

What a great memory! Thank you so much for sharing! And yes. These small towns and their “character” is both endearing and hilarious! 😉💞
