Thanks, WordPress Readers!

Thanks, WordPress Readers! You’re the ones who make this happen! It’s been a fun 10 years. And I look forward to many more.

…and ps. I am SO sorry that I didn’t realize my last Funny Friday and Silly Saturday posts were 2 weeks ago!! (Forehead smack! 😝) I went on vacation, and I didn’t even realize I was at the end f my “prescheduled” posts. Ugh!!

So, I’ll begin again tomorrow and this weekend!

Stay tuned… 😉💞

Question for WordPress Readers

Ok. I’ve had a good many likes recently whose url is actually an Amazon page rather than a blogging page to follow. Sometimes, it does go to a book being offered, but most of the time, it’s simply an Amazon page.

What’s up?

Not mad. Just super curious.

I have my own Amazon; so, I don’t really need that kind of reference or access via WordPress. And sometimes, it can be mundane when I’m trying to check out their page because I’d like to read something of theirs and return the like…

Just didn’t know if it was some kind of new trend or something. Anyone have a clue?

It’s the Small Things

Sometimes, it’s the small, insignificant things that end up mattering the most. We can be so focused on the big picture that the portrait diminishes because we failed to notice the details.

Pay attention to the small things.

Be aware of the little nuances whether in people, situations or surroundings.

Being able to notice can be a game changer.

Sometimes, it’s the small, seemingly insignificant things that will unravel the larger, more glamorous moments because it’s truly the little things that being together the big.

This is true in paintings.

This is true in circumstances.

This is true in relationships.

This is true in life.

If we ignore the minuscule things that make up the whole, we can miss a vital key that can unlock future and further withholding.

Don’t ignore the small things.

They can truly turn out to be the big things.

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

Swing Away the Monday Blues

Sometimes,

a good swing session is like therapy…

And if at first, it doesn’t help,

just keep swinging…

It was truly therapy…

Sweet or Salty, but Baked All the Same

What’s your favorite recipe?

When I think of my favorite receipts, I guess I have two that pops up in my mind immediately. I’ve made them both, but one is passed down, and one is my own. One is something I love to eat and reminisce of days gone by, and the other my whole family and I love to enjoy.

The first would be pecan balls made by my late grandmother. She passed along this recipes to me some years ago, and I’ve made them a handful of times. Mine are good, but hers seemed to have a little extra goodness mixed in. Maybe it was the extra love of those 94 year old hands…

The second would be my lasagna. My guys absolutely love this dish. I make it different than most would possibly because it has double the cheese and double the meat, no veggies, and only cottage cheese mixed with Parmesan (no ricotta). I make a big 9×13 pan, too. So, there’s quite a few leftovers. And I have found that lasagna tastes even better the next day!

Let’s Go to the Movies

What are your top ten favorite movies?

I’m not a huge movie goer; so, when I’m asked what are my top ten favorite movies, my list is probably going to be for an older crowd, or at least, for those old souls among us. Lol.

I’ll give my list, but I’ll have to say also that because of my own personal beliefs, I’ve watched a ton of these edited via television or some other sort of processing that takes out a lot of foul language or inappropriate/sexual scenes or even violence. *So please, if you take my list and then start watching without these safeguards, you might get shocked or offended, particularly if you know me, follow my testimony or are even wanting to see what kind of character I have. 😉 I like it more cleaned up for my eyes, heart and soul; that’s just how I roll.

Top 10 Favorite Movies:

1. The Princess Bride, 2. The Wedding Planner, 3. Little Women (w/Katherine Hepburn), 4. White Christmas, 5. The Lord of the Rings, 6. My Fair Lady, 7. Conager, 8. The Hobbit, 9. Top Gun, 10. The Sound of Music

Honorable Mentions: Mrs. Congeniality, Casablanca, How to Steal a Million

Yeah. You could say I’m a sucker for a good love story. haha.

What about you? What’s your top 10?

Jingle Jangle

If you know these in one frame or fashion, you’re telling your age.

If you don’t know these or have never heard one, you are also telling your age.

So, tell me something…

Can you hear the jingle running through your head?

Which ones do you remember and what are they?

I’d love to know.

(And pls, be sure to tell the number if you’re not going through the whole list. 😉)

Happy Monday!

Thanks, again, WP!

Well, this congrats popped up in my WP notifications today, and it made me smile. Just about a week ago, I was writing here to say thanks for the nine year anniversary on WP.

Today, I’m writing to say, Thanks for being my 1,000 readers. I’m not foolish enough to believe that all one thousand of those followers read my blog everyday, but it’s nice to know each one has dropped by from time to time. It’s a nice feeling of appreciation.

So, if you’re reading this, just know that thanks goes to YOU. If you’re dropping by, and maybe your blog is way beyond this point, thanks for the inspiration. And if you’re here just at the beginning of your WP journey, here’s my gratitude and encouragement to say, Keep Going! If I can do it, you can! You’ve got this. 😉

Thanks, again, WP community. You make a girl feel good to know maybe someone is out there listening (and reading)… 💞

Thanks, WP friends!

Thanks for all the reads, all the likes, all the comments, and all the follows. You guys make a girl feel like she’s accomplishing a little something. 😉💞

Keep it Low

I’ve heard people brag about all their achievements and success.

I’ve watched as they receive the awards, the accolades and applause.

And there have been tiny moments when I want to raise my feathers higher and proclaim.

And then, I take a step back and remember to wait for the ovation.

I remember to pause and let someone else sing my praise.

It’s so much better when the cheers come from another’s lips rather than your own.

It’s so much more rewarding when the hand claps come from the crowd rather than your own hand to your back.

Especially, when your enemies get to hear it loud and clear.

So, keep on keepin’ on.

Stay the course.

Finish the race.

And run it well.

When it’s a worthy cause, and you’re a well placed runner,

Your praise will arise.

And you won’t have to say a thing.

Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 31:30-31
