Fall Into It (1)

Fall Into LOVE

Fall into love like you fell into those piles of autumn leaves as a child, or maybe, you’d prefer that snow to make snow angels. Either way, you wanted nothing more than to keep falling over and over and over. You wanted nothing less than to get right back up and fall again. That is just how our love should be, falling deeper and deeper with each new day…with God…with family…with our spouse…with children…with nature…with LIFE.
Our problems with people are not always the people. Too often, when we have a conflict, we like to tell ourselves, it’s because we haven’t loved enough. We haven’t tried enough. We haven’t sacrificed enough. When all we need is more of Him and so much less of us. If we’d just fall into love with Him, He would love through us. He would speak through us. He would reach through us. So, fall into Him; so, your heart can love them.

The Chains

I pass you on the street and gasp at what I see

I ask if I can help, but you tell me to let you be

My heart is grieved by what you have become

You hiss at the wisdom, saying you just wanna have some fun

In your own thoughts, you think we’ve all lost our way

You say that you hear; yet, you are deaf to all we say

Focused only on your own, you ignore His beckoning call

Pride goes out before you, guaranteed to let you fall

My prayer is for your return and not for your demise

I pray this path of destruction, you quickly will despise

You continue to walk on by, stating everything is fine

Oblivious to the fact, their mission is you to bind

You keep laughing and attempting to be bold

You cannot see that they are tightening their hold

You keep trying to dance and ignoring the pain

Yet, you open your eyes to finally see all the chains

Autumn in the Small Things

Never discount something, because it is small. You might just find out it’s a really BIG thing…

The Flurry of Autumn Leaves

I took these pictures while driving through the mountains today. (Well, I was riding, and my husband was driving! ) Due to the speed down the mountain, some turned out blurred; yet, it made me think of how the season turns when we don’t stop to enjoy it…

Slow down and enjoy the moment, or the season may be gone in a blur…

The Snow

The snow continues to fall in the streets

When will the skies ever clear?

Can they not see it is destroying their strand?

Do they not notice?  Can they not understand?

It will never let them turn this way.

It lures them with its charm and deception.

It claims to give them wealth and power.

Meanwhile, it is tearing down their inner towers.

The snow is still falling…

It gives them energy to last through the day.

While it pulls at and crumbles their walls.

It gives them the joy they believe will keep them alive.

While it kills and destroys everything in which they take pride.

The snow is still falling…

They do not see the finish coming too soon.

They do not realize the end as it comes to take their breath.

Death comes so quickly and so quietly. They never know it is there.

Death comes and destroys them without even a care.

The snow is still falling…

The snow continues to fall in the streets.

The skies now cannot be cleared.

They cannot see it is destroying their strand.

No, they do not notice it. They can never understand.
