Are We Like Him?

As Easter draws near, and we get ready to celebrate with our songs, our meals and our families, I wonder if we remember who Christ truly is. He is Christ the King. He is Life Everlasting. He is Savior, and He is our Risen Lord.

If we who call ourselves Christian are not living as Christ, then our words are not true. He was light to a darkened world. He was love to an angry crowd. He was truth to the hypocrite, the sinner and the lost. He was a healing balm to the broken and the bruised. He gave up His life for those who hated Him the most for just one to see His forgiveness and love while on the cross.

Does the world see Jesus in me and you? The Jesus that they see, does it make them want more or less of Him?

Today is Friday, and it is time for the 10th posting of Friday’s Friends. This has been such a fun edition to my blog, and I do hope you all have enjoyed them as much as I have!

This week, I would like to share with you a special blogger with whom I have made “friends” quite a while back. He has a great blog over at Windblownwords, and I do hope you will peruse through his posts. One of his recent blogs that I found of great encouragement was this one about the importance of our writing and sharing what’s inside. Paul writes with integrity, maturity and wisdom, and it has been a delight to follow his words.

It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for another New Friends post! These are so fun to share with you!

Today, I’d like to share with you someone who has a common love of mine for Gatlinburg, Tn. Cjwagner24 has dedicated his whole blog to all things G’burg. He will tell you about local happenings, opinions about the area, beautiful sceneries you need to see and wonderful places you need to eat. I have really enjoyed discovering his blog, and I believe you will, too.

Friday’s Friends #8

It’s Friday, which means it’s time for another Friday’s Friends! I am so blessed to be able to share with you these new blogs each week. I do hope you are enjoying them and are able to find new “friends” within our blogging community.

Today, I’d like to share with you a very special blogger who touches my heart each time I read her posts. Coffee Cup Mama writes as if she’s talking to me at the kitchen table, sitting with a warm cup of coffee, just chatting for a spell. I have so enjoyed reading her story, and I believe you will, too. This story, in particular, really hits home with me, and I am blessed that she chose to share it. I hope it will minister to many more with whom find a common bond of heartache and strength in faith.

I do hope you will head on over to Coffee Cup Mama and enjoy a little time with her. I believe you will leave feeling a little lighter. 😉

Today is Friday, and that means it’s time for another New Friend to share! I just love doing these new weekly events on Fridays, and I hope you will join with me every Friday and maybe even share with me a new blog you’ve found, too. 🙂

My “friend” this week has been such an inspiration to me, and I do hope she will be the same for you. Heart and Soul is exactly that. I so enjoy popping over to her blog from time to time to read of her daily happenings or a new challenge she is conquering.

I do hope you will stop by over there and let her share with you a little Heart and Soul.

Today is Friday, and that means it’s time for Friday’s New Friends! I have so enjoyed doing these Friday blogs when I am able to share with you a new blogging “friend” I have found!

Today, I’d like to share with you a rather new blogger who has really inspired me. Her blog A Necessary Pain released a new post the other day, and I happened to come across it, because she found me and liked one of my posts. This post encouraged me so and reminded me, once again, that we are all on a journey in this life, and regardless of the pain we may have endured, when we share our story, others can find healing. I hope you will go by and visit, and I do hope you will be encouraged by the stories she shares. 🙂

Today’s New Friend has become a great encouragement to me in the blogging community. She has been around for a while, and she has authored six books. I have learned a bit from her, and I hope you will, too.

Sue over at Sue’sPen2Paper is a delightful blog to explore, and her books are very intriguing. She is also an advocate for those who have dealt with sexual abuse. You can find out more on her blog. She features quite a few other bloggers as well; so, I do hope you will check out her page and discover a few new friends, too. 🙂

Love Me Challenge #27

Oops! So sorry, I thought I had posted this.

What have I accepted about me through this LoveMe Challenge? I have definitely accepted that I’m unique. I’m quiet. I’m scarred. I’m doing some things right. I’m flawed. I have a past, and I have a future. I am loved, and I am an overcomer!

This has been fun! I hope you have enjoyed it, too. 😊

Love Me Challenge #25

Our boys make me laugh all the time. They are so fun and funny. They really keep my on my toes! 😊

Comedians make me laugh sometimes, too, but it definitely depends on their humor and the condition of their words. Honestly, if they’re gonna cuss every other word or be crude and perverted, I just don’t see the humor in that. However, Tim Hawkins, Jeff Foxworthy or Jeff Allen can crack me up anytime! 😂 I even like some vintage humor like The Carol Burnett Show with Tim Conway and I Love Lucy!

Hope you get a good laugh from these!

Love Me Challenge #24

img_1768-3

This might seem like a little of a repeat from #19, but there’s really no way I can answer differently. My God, my husband and our boys make me happier than anything in this world! My God has become my Refuge, my Strength, my Peace, my Friend and so, so much more! My husband has become my best friend, my love, my confidante, and the list could go on and on. Our boys just bring so much joy, adventure and laughter in to our lives, I couldn’t imagine life without them!! …any of them!!

I will have to say, another thing that makes me happy is great friends, especially lifelong or what I like to call “covenant” friends, because lifelong/covenant friends are hard to find. Covenant friendships don’t come into your life by chance nor are they birthed only from easy, fun-filled times together. Covenant friendships are birthed by choice and, often, through moments when you join arms and hearts and walk through the fires of life together. Life long friendships withstand the frivolous, the petty and even the physical miles that may grow over time. When you find one of these, hold onto them, cherish them and never let them go. Over the years, no matter the distance between you, you will be glad you did! 😉
