I would like the cappuccino – love the art on top. I am glad you identified the breakfast salad … I was wondering what it was … everything else looks delicious as usual!

It was all so delicious…and from the outside, you may have never known it was a restaurant! It was a little hotel with a pool or front, and when you walked in, there was the hotel registration, as well as, the restaurant. You almost felt like you were in someone’s home rather than a business. Evidently, this is how many of the restaurants are set up in the villages throughout Ukraine. It was quite interesting. 😊

That is interesting – on the breakfast salad I was intrigued by how they put pepper (at least I think it was pepper) in the little groove that encircled the plate the salad was on.

Oh yes. They are big on red bell peppers, pickles, tomatoes and cucumbers at breakfast…typically, depending on where you are, this is served with a plate of sliced meats and cheeses. 😉 Not your typical “Americanized” eggs and fruit b’fast! 😂 So much of it is so very good, though, because often times, it is brought straight from a garden or small market that is more like a farmers market. Everyone grows so much if their own food that you don’t have huge restaurants and franchises with all the processed foods. It’s there, just not as prevalent.

That’s interesting … you know those people would be healthy eating all those veggies, especially the red peppers and tomatoes … it makes me think of my mom who loved beefsteak tomatoes in late Summer. We’d go to roadside stands so she could get her “fix” and many times instead of toast with peanut butter or jam on it, she had sliced tomatoes!

Between that and their need to walk everywhere, many of them are very healthy. … I know a lot of people here in the South who opt for those sliced tomato sandwiches! 😋😉

Yes, not the fattening things that we eat here, (although many people are like me and have oatmeal which is good for you.) The tomatoes … on a nice piece of crispy whole-grain toast, with some butter – perfection!!

When you describe it like that, I wish I liked tomatoes! 😂

Pile some bacon on those tomatoes!

😂 As my husband says, “If it’s not better with bacon, it’s cuz it’s better with chocolate!” 😉

I have a friend who lives in Richmond, Virginia and every Summer they have a bacon festival – every possible combination of bacon and ________ (fill in the blanks) you can imagine, including ice cream and chocolate!

I love bacon, and I love chocolate, but that’s one thing I can’t handle together. 😜
