Relationships can be so complicated.
Sometimes, we stay so long, receiving abuse, pain and turmoil until we are beat to a pulp.
But we stay because we need love.
Sometimes, we remain in a tornado of split personalities, control and narcissism until we feel insane instead of calm.
But we stay because we need comfort.
Sometimes, we maintain the friendship, believing one day it will change, or worse, we’ve become blinded by the toxic norm.
But we stay because we need acceptance.
Yet, once our eyes behold truth…
There’s no backing up from reality.
There’s no returning to what was.
There’s no retreat from the withdrawal.
Sometimes, to be truly free, you must walk.
And never look back.
Seeing truth is discernment.
Knowing truth is wisdom.
Doing truth is courage.
Enduring truth is faith.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.John 8:32
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.Hebrews 10:35-39
