What positive emotion do you feel most often?
As I noted in another blog, peace is the one thing I carry with me at all times, and it is the positive emotion I try to have and to feel most often.
Peace is a key to unlock so many more positive emotions.
I’m usually not a real dramatic person, not a person of high emotion; so, this emotion might seem to come to me more easily than some. However, I work on it as well.
If you’re a person of lots of drama or a person of high emotion, it might take a little more work to get to a peaceful state, but it really boils down to your thought life.
What you think, you become.
If you dwell on fear, you’re gonna deal with lots of anxiety and fear.
If you dwell on sadness, you’re going to be sad and even depressed.
If you dwell on anger, you’re going to live in a state of anger and rage.
If you dwell on doubt and never ending questions, you’re going to be consumed in a cloud of confusion.
You get my point.
Negative thoughts breed negativity.
Positive thoughts breed positivity.
The beautiful thing is we get to CHOOSE what we think about.
Some would say, But thoughts just pop into my head. Yes. You are truthful in that.
However, it’s the thoughts you choose to keep that produce the outcome.
The thoughts you choose to nurture, strengthen and continually go back to, these are what you become.
So, I ask you: What positive emotion do you feel most often?
And maybe a better question would be:
What positive emotion do you choose to feel most often?
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
Proverbs 23:7
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Isaiah 26:3
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
I woud add smile would be a better equipment

A smile is great equipment. However, I’ve seen people smiling who are without peace, without kindness and even without joy, and they either become robotic or fakes. A smile is only genuine when the right stuff is on the inside. 😉

That is very nice for me to think about- what do I carry with me at all times? I live in a busy city, and it overwhelms me sometimes because I feel so much around me and am sensitive to the conditions (of people- their circumstances, unpredictability and general sounds of the city). For this reason I have taken on a sort of zen mindset when I go out, i try to stay in a neutral place, not feeling too much, this allows me to accept and respond accordingly to what I meet. When something pops up that inspires a negative thought I try to quickly recognise it and sincerely send compassion to that. I have found it really helps me to carry neutrality (maybe it’s also non-judgment) and compassion when needed… I used to be overly compassionate and well the neutrality helped give me a tougher skin and preserve myself better 🤍

Neutrality is a beginning point to moving toward truth and peace. 😉

Peace is a good positive emotion to carry.
For me, I’d have to say love, gratitude and hope.

I would agree. I work hard to carry all of those as well. 😉 And truthfully, when you have the One, you will have all of the above. ☺️ “…Faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love.”
